Cade was Samsons longest resident EVER!

After being abandoned on the side of the road in 2022, this sweet hunk waited over FOUR YEARS to find his furever home!

​

Cade has been so loved by his fosters, trainers, and volunteers at Samsons over the years and everyone is overjoyed to see him finally chosen and loved unconditionally. He lives a pawesome life by the beach with his new Mom and Dad!

Wally (fka Burrito) spent most of his life chained up in a makeshift shack with his 4 babies. When we rescued them, they were all malnourished and sick with heartworms. After treatment and recovery, Burrito watched all of his babies get adopted.

​

He waited so patiently and it was finally his turn! He now has a pawesome mama who will love and cherish him for the rest of his days! Adopt a senior dog like Burrito!

Sunny spent the first year of her life locked in a closet in a warehouse. There were bugs on her food and cigarette butts in her water! When we finally rescued her, she saw the sun for the first time, and her Sunny personality started coming out!

Now Sunny lives her best life by the beach with her fam and new doggy sister!

Poppy (fka Bellini) was rescued before she was born (we saved her pregnant mama and daddy!) from a horrific flooding hoarders house. She was adopted out as a tiny puppy and due to no fault of our own was returned to us 2 years later.

​

Even though she had been through so much, our sweet Poppy never gave up her sweetness and worked so hard everyday to be brave. 

​

Lucky for her she didnt have to wait long to find her true furever family, and the best part? Its with her sister!! Reunited Furever! We are so thankful Poppy finally found the unconditional love and commitment every dog deserves. Happy tails Poppy!

Yuzu was rescued as a puppy from the meat factory alongside her brother, Ziggy. After spending 1+ year in the shelter and another 1+ year in foster, she is finally home.

​

She eventually took her freedom flight to the U.S., a moment that changed her life forever. One of the hardest parts of her journey was being separated from Ziggy for the first time. While emotional, it gave Yuzu the chance to gain independence, confidence, and truly start discovering who she was outside of survival.

​

Now, Yuzu is exactly where she was always meant to be: safe, loved, and completely adored by the best pawrents in the world, who want to give her the entire world in return.

After spending most of his life living on a chain, then over a year waiting in a shelter, Ahn is finally home. 

​

Ahn was rescued in South Korea after living chained outside for over a year. Not long after, he watched his sister Peach head off to her new life while he stayed behind, still waiting for his turn. Day after day, Ahn patiently hoped his family would come.

​

He was eventually rescued by our South Korea partners and brought to the shelter, where he waited another year before finally getting the chance to move into foster care.

​

When Ahn finally made it into foster care, his personality began to shine. Beneath the uncertainty was the sweetest, silliest little goober who just wanted love and comfort. He slowly learned what toys were, what cozy beds felt like, and that humans could be safe.

​

His pawrents fell in love at first sight and drove all the way from Colorado to meet their new family member. ​Now, Ahn never has to wonder again. He, now, has a home filled with love, warmth, and the future he always deserved.

Bambi’s new name is Scoops, and boy oh boy does she have a beautiful life ahead of her! She’s got her fur sissy Kennedee, pawesome parents, a front AND back yard, and all the love a pup could dream of. 🐾

Scoops came from a horrific animal hoarding situation, so is a nervous girlie, but thanks to her loving family she is coming out of her shell more and more each day. We cannot wait to see you continue to grow into the confident and playful pup you are meant to be, sweet Scoops!

After THREE LONG YEARS of waiting, Gus finally found his furever family!! And they love him so much already, they are well worth the wait.

Gus was rescued from an abusive situation with his brother on Christmas eve '22. His brother was adopted shortly after that, however Gus' journey was just beginning. He spend a year and a half in board and train and then a year and a half in foster, and in that time he went from fearful boy to confident social butterfly!

Nico’s happily ever after is finally here 🤍

Nico, formerly known as Taquito, spent the early part of his life chained outside a factory in South Korea alongside his father and sisters, enduring abuse no dog should ever know. His world was about survival, until rescue changed everything.

After arriving in the U.S., Nico waited patiently, learning what safety, love, and trust felt like. And now, that wait is over.

Nico has found his forever family... and he fits in perfectly, like he was always meant to be there. His days are now filled with comfort, security, and the kind of love that heals old wounds. This is the definition of a foster win.

Nico, your past is behind you and your future is so bright. We are beyond proud of you.

Sweet Enchi is officially home, and it’s hard to put into words just how much this moment means.

Enchi’s story began in South Korea, where she spent the early part of her life chained outside of a factory, living in severe neglect. Exposed to the elements and deprived of care, safety, and love, Enchi endured more than any dog ever should. She was rescued alongside her brother, Taquito, her father, Burrito, and her two sisters, Dolly (fka Salsa) and Brisket (fka Ceviche), all of them finally freed from a life of hardship.

​

Despite everything she survived, Enchi never lost her gentle spirit. From the moment she was rescued, she showed us who she truly was. Kind, silly, affectionate, and endlessly loving. She had a way of quietly stealing hearts, curling up close, and making you feel chosen. Enchi was special in that soft, unforgettable way.

​

After a long journey from Korea to the U.S., Enchi waited patiently for her forever. And now, that wait is over. She has found a family who sees her for exactly who she is and loves her completely. Her days are now filled with cozy naps, warm beds, and the safety she always deserved.

​

This is the ending we dream of for every rescue dog. From chains to couches. From survival to love.

Wow, what a journey our sweet Moose has been on these last couple of weeks. From limping down the street in the rain, infested with fleas and on the verge of starvation - to finding his PAWesome, patient, and loving FURever family. We can’t be certain what all he’s been through in his life before rescue, but one thing we know for sure- he’ll never be alone again. 

​

One of our directors found Moose on her way home from a friend’s house. There he was, in the pouring rain, hoping someone would stop and give him a chance at life. Flash forward to today- and that friend’s house is now Moose’s forever home! When they heard about Moose they knew it was meant to be - Moose’s grandma’s late brother’s nickname was Moose. It’s like he just knew his family was near by. This is why we rescue 

Congrats to the beautiful family! We love you, Moose! 

Cosmo was rescued with his four siblings from the euthanasia list at just 6 weeks old. He patiently waited in his foster home, watching each one of his siblings find their forever families. And now—just a month shy of his second birthday—Cosmo finally got the best birthday wish any boy could ask for: a forever family of his very own. And not just any family… the perfect one.

We are over the moon that Cosmo has found his happily ever after! He now has a beautiful sister, Cinder, who sadly lost her furry companion a few months ago. The two are already finding comfort, healing, and joy in each other’s company. And as if that wasn’t enough, Cosmo now has two kitty siblings as well. This boy truly hit the jackpot!

Cosmo, it’s safe to say your long wait was so worth it. You have incredible parents who will guide you through life and love you more than you can imagine. You have a closet bigger than most people’s, and furry siblings to snuggle and play with, forever.

From the streets to the shelter at just 6 weeks old, Howdy and his three siblings were placed on the euthanasia list. Poor little Howdy had more ticks on him than anyone.

Thankfully, his foster family who had previously adopted Brisket (FKA Ceviche from us!) fell in love with his sweet face and welcomed him into their pack of four.

Soon after, Howdy was adopted! There were happy tears as they handed him to his new family… but sometimes the world works in mysterious ways. Howdy was later surrendered, and it turned out to be the biggest blessing. He was meant to come back home, to the family who loved him more than anyone ever could.

Now he’s officially number five, the biggest of the bunch, but still the baby. 🐾 We couldn’t be happier for Lauren, Jeff, and their incredible pack of five 🐶 Brisket, Oreo, Turkey, Charlie, and their newest (but not really new!) member… Howdy. 💛

Moonshine, lovingly known as Moonie, was rescued alongside 75 other dogs in South Korea from an animal hoarding situation after the owner passed away. Among the group were his wife, Olive (formerly Midori), who was also a Samson’s Sanctuary alum, and their five puppies.

​

After being brought to safety by our rescue partners in Korea, Moonie made the journey to the United States, where he was fostered with his daughter, Anya (formerly Bellini). During his time in foster care, Moonie’s gentle and loyal personality began to shine through. He was patient, affectionate, and always happiest when surrounded by love.

​

After over a year in foster care, Moonie has officially been adopted! He is the last of the “Puptails” to find his forever home, closing a beautiful chapter in this family’s rescue journey.

From surviving unthinkable conditions to finally knowing peace, Moonie’s story is a reminder that love and patience can truly transform a life. Welcome home, sweet boy. 

Ziggy was rescued as a tiny puppy alongside his sister, Stardust, from the illegal meat trade in South Korea. After their rescue, Ziggy spent over a year in a shelter with our amazing partners in Korea, waiting patiently for his second chance. When he finally took his freedom flight to Los Angeles, he was welcomed with open arms.

​

Ziggy was a shy and cautious little guy when he arrived. With the help of his wonderful foster mama, he started to learn about all the good things that come with being loved.

​

Slowly but surely, Ziggy’s confidence grew. He discovered that life could be safe and full of joy. And then, the best thing happened—Ziggy met his forever family! Now he gets to share his days with Milo (fka Lovey), another Samson’s Sanctuary alum who also found a second chance at happiness

Dolly (fka Salsa) was rescued from a life full of disease, neglect, abuse, and essentially just survival mode while chained in a makeshift shack where her abusive owner held her and her family. 

​

Fast forward to now, she has been nursed back to health, learned to love people and other dogs, and has found her FUREVER HOME! 

​

As luck would have it, one of our incredible directors fell head over heels for this cutie, and so did her dog (SS Alum) Cher! Its only appropriate that Dolly got a diva name like her sister, and now shes ready to live her best LA life FUREVER!!!

Milo fka Lovey came from a heartbreaking situation as one of over 75 dogs rescued from an animal hoarder in South Korea, including his brother, Balloon. After enduring over a year in the shelter, Milo was finally given the chance to spread his wings and took his freedom flight to Los Angeles.

​

With the help of his incredible foster mom, Milo began to blossom since he is a scared dog, and soon enough, he found his forever home. He now lives with the most patient and loving parents, who are committed to giving him the time and care he needs to thrive. Milo is a testament to the power of second chances and the love that can transform a life.

After spending the beginning of her life chained up outside 24/7 and then spending almost 4 years in shelter/rescue patiently waiting to be adopted, Jade has finally found her soulmate in her furever mom and we couldn’t be happier for both of them!! 

Jades new mom drove 8 hours to come get her girl! Not only that, she spent 4 days in LA getting to know Jade and learning her training before they hit the road to go home!! 

Jade had been with Samsons for 2 years!  She is our most expensive dog to date (over $25k!) and worth every single penny. We are honored to have cared for her until her mama could find her. They truly are a pawfect match!

Benji boy was rescued from a horrific dog meat farm in South Korea. When he was originally brought in to our Korea partner he was sick with Parvo. Benji was nursed back to health, all thanks to the shelter owner who would carry him around everywhere to ensure Benji was safe and healthy. He was a fan Favorite, known for his confidence, kindness and ability to give so much love.

​

Once Benji took his freedom flight, he landed in what he didn't know at the time would become his furever home!! A foster WIN! Benji boy now gets to live his best LA life in a home filled with love and safety. 

​

Teddy Bear may have had a ruff start to life (being abandoned in a fast food parking lot with his underage siblings, then being returned to the shelter after only a day of being adopted, all before coming to us), but he's not thinking about that now!

​

Teddy is now living his best life running around his yard with his pawesome family and puppy brother! There might even be some therapy dog training in his future, go Teddy Bear!

Balloon was rescued from a hoarding situation in South Korea, along with over 75 other dogs, after his owner tragically passed away from cancer.

After spending over a year at the shelter, waiting for her chance at a better life, Balloon finally took his freedom flight to start her new journey.The moment Balloon arrived, he greeted everyone with a bright, joyful smile, instantly showing his loving and sweet nature and amazing hops.

It was clear that he was ready for all the affection the world could offer. Balloon was a beloved SS Alumni's Poppy roommate, in the shelter. The two had a great connection and supported each other through their time there.

Balloon was soon adopted by a wonderful family who gave him the loving home she had always deserved. Now, he's living his best life, filled with love, joy, and endless cuddles. We’re so happy to see you thriving, Balloon!

Brisket, formerly known as Ceviche, was rescued from a life of hardship in South Korea, where she was found chained up and suffering from heartworms. Along with her siblings and father, she was brought to a shelter and treated for her heartworms. Once she was healthy, Brisket made her way on a freedom flight, ready for a fresh start.

Brisket won the jackpot with the best family! She is so lucky to be adopted by her foster family! This is a true foster WIN! Brisket is thriving with her loving forever family. Brisket has found the happy, safe life she deserves.

Bisou fka Susie was rescued from a hoarder situation in South Korea along with 75+ other dogs after their owner passed away due to cancer. After being saved by our partners in South Korea, Bisou stayed in the shelter for about a year until taking her freedom flight. 

Immediately coming off the flight, Bisou greeted everyone with a big smile and wanted all the cuddles. Bisou found an incredible home with a loving mom and dad! She now gets to have an incredible life that is filled with love and joy.

Murphy was rescued from horrific conditions. He was thrown out on the street by his second abusive owner, but not before being chained up in the torrential downpour that was happening that week. He was covered in tar and cigarette burns, and just trying to stay dry. A kind neighbor bought him a jacket and tried to help from a distance but one night she saw him being beaten by homeless people and she immediately took him into her bathroom (she had other small animals to keep safe). That’s when we were notified and knew we had to help this sweet guy.

Huge thanks to @standupforpitsfoundation for networking him and to his foster mom for stepping up to take him in no questions asked. We didn’t know how he would react to new people or animals, or how his past traumas would affect him. Well, this guy, still covered in tar and burns, walked into our lives with the biggest smile and grateful kisses. His ears were badly infected from a butchered hack job, so we got him immediate care and set him up to start living the good life!

Murphy has been through a lot during his time with us, cancer, dental surgeries, countless adoption events, the list goes on, but we never once worried about him.  We knew that our squad, supporters, and Murphys mom would do anything to make sure he’s the happiest, healthiest boy possible. He’s even become a local celeb in his neighborhood!

After 1 year and 8 months in his “foster” home it’s official!!! Murphy is now a furever boy and he never has to leave his favorite human… his mom. Although we all have a feeling he knew he was staying way before we did. Now the only marks he ever has to worry about getting are lipstick kisses from his mama.

 Latte finally found her FURever!

Latte’s foster dad is now her FURever dad! Talk about a foster WIN!

A year ago, Latte, and SS Alum Mocha, were found abandoned and left to fend for themselves in a dirty alleyway. Fast forward to now, Latte goes on a hike every morning, plays ball all day, and gets all the snuggles and treats every night! We are so grateful for Latte’s foster turned FURever family, for not only saving her from that alleyway, but for working so on hard on her training and giving this sweet girl all the love she deserves.

Poppy (fka Midori) has had a great journey making it to her furever home. Grab your tissues! Poppy's story is a once in a lifetime.

Poppy was found in an animal hoarder's house filled with 75+ dogs. When she was found, she was in pool of water up to her neck and chained, unable to escape. It was revealed she was carrying 5 pups, who she gave birth to in the shelter (known as the Puptails). After her babies were adopted, Poppy's heart broke watching them be taken away. She refused food for 3 days and would ram her head into a metal fence trying to find them each time. She was deemed a no fly dog until one of our volunteers went to the shelter to see her for herself. Our volunteer fostered her, showing her love to get her on her freedom flight.  She has now been reunited with her babies and her husband, Moonshine! She knows now that everyone is safe and loved.

Poppy's luck continued as she found the best furever home with a sister, Navi, who was also rescued from South Korea. She now gets to be in a home filled with love and patience for her to blossom. Yay Poppy!  We love you!

Roxy (fka French Toast) is an adorable little munchkin who has landed with the best pawrents! 

Roxy was rescued before she was sold to the illegal meat trades. She lived her life on chain until she landed here in Los Angeles. With the best foster parents, Roxy has been able to open up her timid personality into being more brave! 

Roxy will never live life on a chain again and now will have the best life with Mom and Dad!

Pepper (fka Kiki) had a crazy ride to her furever home! She was rescued from a high kill shelter in Korea, brought to a foster home where she fell off of a balcony, ran away, was hit by a car and survived!! She got surgery to fix her leg and was adopted by the people who "found" her. Just 3 short months later they decided they wanted to give her away because they were working too much (as if thats a reason to give up your baby!) and thats where we stepped in.

​

Luckily Kiki found incredible fosters who gave her so much love until her furever mom came along... which didnt take long! After only one week in the US, little Pepper found her way home.

Charlie (fka Tony) was the last of his litter (the Pupranos) to take his freedom flight from South Korea to LA. He went to temporary foster for a week and right before he was supposed to move into his long term foster, his mom decided she wanted this move in to be FUREVER!!

​

Tony will never have to be shuffled around again and he can now live his best puppy life with his mom in LA. Thats what we call a foster WIN!

Milk & Mocha survived extreme neglect the first 3.5 years of their life where they had to fend for themselves in a dirty old shack in South Korea. When they were finally able to be rescued, we knew they were meant to stay together furever.

​

Fast forward to now, they were lucky enough to take their freedom flight straight to their furever home!! They were so sweet and trusting right away, we couldnt be happier for them!

Remy (fka Vito) may have had a scary start to life, but he sure doesnt remember that now!!

​

Shortly after his freedom flight from South Korea, Remy met his furever family and it was love at first sight! He greeted them with the biggest smile and so many kisses. Remy LOVES food so its only appropriate that he goes to a family who LOVES to cook! He is ready for his position of sous chef and taste tester!!

Mela (fka Carmela) came out of the crate from her freedom flight with a smile,  waggy tail, and smooches for her new furever family!

This cutie was born to a mama in a field, and was at risk of being sold to the meat market! We couldn't let that happen!! Mela is in for a summer, and a life full of fun!!

Billie (fka Meadow) was lucky enough to fly straight to her furever home!

​

Billie's new parents met another Samson's Alum, Sugar, and fell in love with the jindo breed. Then upon looking us up, they saw Billie and knew she was meant to be their baby!

​

Billie has a life full of adventure ahead, and we are so happy for her and the whole fam!

Peaches (fka Peach) had a very rough start to life... but now that shes found her furever thats all a distant memory!

​

Peach was born to a junkyard mama dog in South Korea, and for some reason the owner surrendered all of the pups except for Peach. After a year of being chained up 24/7 our team member finally convinced the owner to give Peach a chance for a better life. Our window was small to get her on her freedom flight, but thanks to the incredible rescue community we were able to get her on her flight to LAX and on a road trip to CO right away! She went to her pawesome foster family who adopted Midnight (a jindo in a similar situation) from us last year! And as luck would have it, her foster mom met her furever mom at the gym and the rest is herstory!!

Peaches is so lucky to have a doggie brother, human sister, loving mama, and a huge yard to run FREE!!! Happy tails Peaches, we love you!!
 

Joey (fka Shorty) waited almost 2 years for his furever home and boy did he hit the jackpot!!

Born to a pregnant mama who was rescued from the meat market in South Korea, Joey was born into shelter life and lived there for over a year and a half, even after his mama was adopted! Finally some amazing fosters stepped up and we were able to get him out of there, but of course that was a very scary transition for this little guy! Thanks to all the patience and love he received from his fosters, he started opening up and we knew with the pawfect match he would be just fine.

Joey, his new bro Chandler, and his mama Monica will be singing "I'll be there for youuu" FUREVER!!! His new brother is also a Korean rescue who was a very fearful boy, but with his patient mamas help he is now a confident boy and ready to show Joey the ropes!

Lala was rescued from the desert last year. She was about 11 years old, covered in lumps and skinny, but always oh so sweet. Because of her age and mystery lumps she was put on the euth list at the shelter. Her incredible foster mom took her in no hesitation, and began showing her the good life! Long walks full of sniffs, home cooked meals, snuggles, and lots of other enrichment, Lala quickly began to thrive! She gained a healthy amount of weight, all of her lumps were tested and came back benign, and she stopped reacting to other dogs on leash! She truly settled into such a calm confident girlie! We were so thankful everyday for her foster fam.

So you know we were THRILLED when we got the phone call that they wanted to keep Lala furever, after all, we knew, she was exactly where she belongs. That’s right, a foster WIN!!! Lala has truly found her soulmate in her mom, and we couldn’t be happier!

Elio (fka Sirius) was rescued with his siblings after being found as abandoned babies with no mother and then brought to a kill shelter! The biggest of the litter, he was always the most shy and we knew he would need an adopter with a lot of love to give!

​

Fast forward a few months and he found his pawfect match at an adoption event hosted by YARI! His new mama named him Elio which means "sun" in Italian! He gets to be a spoiled only child while still living on the same property as his new pittie cousin/bestie, how lucky is that?!

​

Clementine was rescued from the meat trade in South Korea. Even after being treated for heartworms she was still such a happy and social girl, we knew we could find a great home for her!

​

Clemmy found her furever right where she landed with her foster mama! We are so happy these two ladies will be together furever!!

Raya (fka Orion) was rescued with her siblings at just 8 weeks old! They were found as strays without a mama, and infested with bugs and worms.

​

When our team went to meet them, our director Flo immediately fell in love with Raya. She brought her home as a foster, but after seeing her dog, Willow (who is tolerant of other dogs but not very playful), fall for Raya it was clear this was turning into a furever!!! 

​

We are so excited that Raya gets to stay in the fam and we can watch her grow up. She is such a smart girlie who is bonding with her family more and more everyday.

Juniper (fka Nova) was rescued with her siblings at just 8 weeks old! They were found as strays without a mama, and infested with bugs and worms.

Little miss Juniper was the first of her litter to get adopted, and she is already living the princess life just like she deserves! We are so thankful to her pawesome new family for loving this sweet girl so much and for giving her a patient furever home. She even has fur siblings!

Sora Momo (fka Mojito) had a very traumatic start to life. Saved from a hoarder in South Korea, she was at risk for being sold to the meat trade!

​

Thankfully her incredible fosters stepped up and allowed us to get this sweet girl on a freedom flight to LA! Fast forward a couple weeks of decompression and hard work to build her confidence, Momo found her furever mom! AND she gets to have 2 doggie siblings! Her life is just beginning and we are so grateful for every patient and loving person who has played a role in giving Momo the life she deserves.

Moo found his furever with his foster fam, and we call that a foster WIN!!

Moo's life started as a flea infested stray, then he was brought into the shelter where his time was up, and that's when we stepped in. His (now furever!) mom put in so much work to help him become the best boy he can be, and we know his journey has only just begun! Now he gets to continue to snuggle with his sister, and run around with his brother for the rest of his days!

Moki (fka Mocha) was found living in an alleyway in LA. He was rescued by the family that fostered him. He was a sweetie from day one, so thankful and willing to give love to everyone he met.  After a few months in his foster home, he found his furever family!

Mocha's new family adopted SS Alum Bentley a year and a half prior. Heartbreakingly, Bentley lost the battle with lymphoma at only 2 years old. His family promised to honor him by rescuing another sweet boy, and they sure did! Mocha instantly fell in love with his new pawrents and he even has a furever sister,

Daisy (fka Martini) was rescued with her siblings and mom from a horrible situation in South Korea.

She took her freedom flight at 6 months old, and was fostered by a SS Alum family! A few weeks later she found her furever family, and she is already so loved!

Kogi and Niku (fka Cosmo and Lemon Drop) were rescued with their mama and siblings from a hoarder in South Korea before they could be sold to the meat market! These two were lucky enough to find a foster home in South Korea and now a furever home in America! Together furever!!

Chiba (fka Dolce) was rescued as a puppy from the meat market in South Korea. She survived abuse and disease, and was the last of her litter to find a home! She waited a year and a half for a family who would be patient and loving, and now she has it! 

​

Chiba will be with her loving mom and rescue sisters for the rest of her days! She will only know love and kindness from here on out. Happy life Chiba, we love you! 

Nibz was rescued at 2 days old after being abandoned at a vets office. He was lucky enough to be fostered by our amazing foster coordinator and a few months later he got adopted by a friend of hers!

Nibz is now loving life with his new mom and furever kitty sibling. Happy life Nibz, we love you! 

One day our founder was scrolling through OfferUp, and saw what no rescuer wants to see. A tiny sick kitten, listed for free. Less than an hour later our foster coordinator was on the way! Poor Opis little eye was so inflamed it was sealed shut, not to mention he was covered in fleas. Luckily he didnt have to lose his eye, and grew to be a healthy young kitten!

Now Opi is thriving in his furever home, where he gets to be the center of attention and live his best kitty life. We love you Opi! Congrats to the whole family.

The sweet and adorable Wally has found an incredible forever home and family in Zhenya!  We are so thrilled these two found each other and cannot imagine a better outcome for Wally.  Wally was discovered by his foster mom as a tiny kitten scurrying out from under a car on Hollywood Blvd and into someone's yard during LA's torrential rains this past year.  Thankfully, Wally's foster mom immediately left work to come pick him up so he could eventually find his way to Zhenya.  It's incredible to imagine that Wally was once a wet and terrified kitten on the street. Now that he is in a loving home we cannot wait to see how sweet Wally will blossom and grow.  Congrats on your new found home, Wally!

So happy to announce that Suki (fka Bora), has found her furever family!  This family finding each other is something we are extremely thankful for as our Director, Flo, has known Suki's new mom for a while now!  Flo and Tess connected through their love for dogs, and when Tess started following Samsons Sanctuary, she asked "soooo.... what's the deal with Bora?" It was love at first sight! 

From living outside for three years, sick with heartworms and at risk for being sold to the meat market, Suki now finds herself healthy and in a loving home with fabulous pawrents and a brand new sister, Honey.  The best part of it all, Suki will always be close to the Samson's family and staff.  We can't wait to see her grow and flourish in such a wonderful home full of love!

Mouse (fka Bonnie) found furever right in her foster home!  7 month old Mouse was brought into the shelter in horrific condition.  She was out of time and was going to be euthanized when her family stepped up!  She was a bit nervous at first, but in a few days she realized she was safe and in the most loving home. 

She bonded with her doggie siblings instantly and is already used to picking up the kids from school!  She loves to run around her yard with her siblings and then nap belly up.  Mouse's mom said they knew from day one she was here to stay.  We love you Mouse!  

After over a year in our care, our special singing boy Sweeney has finally found his furever home. Sweeney was rescued by Samson's at six weeks old from a rural Texas animal control. He was malnourished and eventually tested positive for Parvo and coccidia, also known as "puppy killer" diseases. Thankfully, this little fighter made it through. All of his littermates were adopted, leaving Sweeney adoptable for over a year. After surviving Parvo, he underwent two emergency surgeries on his elbows at 6 months old. Sweeney is now fashioned with his super stylish elbow pads to keep him protected while he plays. When his opera singing went viral on Instagram, Sweeney caught the attention of Broadway star Josh Groban, along with several other notable celebs. Even after his viral video, Sweeney was still looking for his furever home, until his family came around. His adopters had initially met Sweeney at a Samson's adoption event, but couldn't take a pup home due to their current dog. When their senior pup passed away, the family knew that Sweeney would fill the hole in their family. Just like their late dog who liked to sing, Sweeney brought opera singing back into their home. Sweeney is having the time of his life with his new family. He even has two human sisters! We are so happy that Sweeney has found his perfect furever family. Thank you to those that followed his journey while he was in our care.

This sweet 6 year old boy had been looking for a home for over 2 years! Bongu was born of an accidental litter and then passed from home to home until he was sold to a very scary illegal puppy mill, meat market “shelter” in South Korea. He was then rescued and waited for two years to find his furever home.

Bongu's dad initially met him when he first landed in Los Angeles after his freedom flight from Korea, and couldn't stop thinking about him since!

Rocco came to us neglected, emaciated, and desperate for love. He had been adopted as a puppy, and after over 10 years with his family they decided to leave him neglected in their garage for months, before officially dumping him.

Fast forward to now, Rocco has gained a healthy amount of weight, his coat is shiny, and most importantly he was loved for months by his foster family. And now he has found his furever! He has 2 pawesome new pawrents and 2 kitty siblings.

Calvin's (AKA Calvin Klein) life changed furever when he was rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea last year. He, along with a few of his siblings, were safe at a nearby shelter before Samson's came along and brought them to the U.S. (one by one.) Luckily, Calvin had found his way into an incredible foster home. Fast forward a few weeks and Calvin has finally found his forever home!

He has been adopted by the brother and sister in law of one of our amazing directors! We are so happy to have him furever in the squad. His transition to his furever home had a challenging beginning, but his pawrents are committed to working through anything that comes their way. Thats what rescue is all about! Doing whatever it takes to make sure yoiur new baby feels safe and secure, no matter the timeline.

Calvin had a rough life before he was saved and we cannot wait to hear about his new life and all of his adventures with his new family. He definitely hit the jackpot!

Carly was adopted as a puppy into a family who kept her and her doggie brother for 11 years before dumping them due to a divorce. They were clearly neglected for months beforehand, but still the sweetest babies.

After being fostered together and separately, it was determined these two seniors actually did better without each other, and thats when Carly met her new dad!

It was love at first sight at an adoption event at a plant festival on Earth day weekend! Carlys new dad has so many fun adventures planned for them already, we are so happy Carly will be treated like a princess for the rest of her days.

Rocco was rescued from a horribly abusive situation on Christmas eve 2022. Since then he has been so brave as he got shuffled from foster to foster, and had to be separated from his brother.

We are so happy that Rocco found the most loving family who has already worked so much with him to help continue build his confidence. He is going to have a beautiful life, and he will never feel afraid again.

Midnight was rescued from being sold to the meat trade in South Korea when she was 2 years old. She then was treated for heartworms, spayed, and waited 2 more years to find her pawfect match!

Her new mama fell in love with Midnight through her photos, and in just a few short weeks, Midnight boarded her freedom flight and landed in the US to meet her! She is an experienced Jindo mama, Midnight is going to have the best life!

Chambers has found her furever happy place… right where she is!! After spending a few months with her foster fam they decided they couldn’t let her go.

London's furever family drove all the way from New Hampshire to pick him up!! His mom saw him in a TikTok and immediately fell in love. 🥹

This is his new brother, Patch! He is also a 1 year old rescue dog and clearly it was love at first sight for these two as well! 😍

Princess Leia Leashwalker found her furever… with her foster fam!! 

Last November, one of our foster moms found Leia abandoned in a shopping center parking lot when she was just 7 lbs and 7 weeks old. She didn’t have enough room to foster her long term so she called us for help and that’s when her now furever mom sprung into action and took her in! As expected everyone in the house fell in love with little Leia, including her doggie brother Rocket! 🥰

It just felt meant to be, and as time went on and Leia wasn’t finding her pawfect match, her mom knew it was because she already had 💖

​

Congrats baby girl! We are so happy that you get to stay with the only real family you've ever known, and an amazing one at that! You are in for a lifetime of love and adventures..."May the force be with you"!

This wonderful, yet sometimes grumpy old man was labeled “unadoptable” by the shelter he was initially brought to, but Samson’s Squad saw something in him that others couldn’t and decided to save him. 

​

This 11 year old senior Chihuahua was our longest term foster (almost a year to the date!) when his pawfect match finally applied to adopt him. A wonderful couple from Canada who loves rescuing pups saw him and instantly knew they had to have Spud.
 
They were interviewed and schooled on all of Spuds quirky little needs and personality traits and from the get go were down for the challenge at hand. While the process took some time due to the miles in between and travel challenges at hand, we can finally say that “SPUD IS HOME”!!!!

He was united with his furever family and is settling into his new home nicely. Congratulations Spud! We are so thrilled for you buddy!

Rupert (fka Toast) was found (on what happened to be Samson's birthday) by his mom, Rickie while he was running in the street. Samson knew he was extremely special 🌈🐶

Our director Flo met him that same day and instantly knew she had found a soulmate for her sister.

Sophie “wasn’t ready for a dog” but wanted to foster him, and as we predicted... after a few short days, they became inseparable. Rupert, became her forever. She wasn’t ready for a dog, because she hadn’t found her guy.

We are so happy Rupert is forever In the Samson’s family! He even has his found a best friend in his cousin, Willow! They are so excited for many play dates and a bond that’ll last forever.

Mando (fka Ralph Lauren) had a really rough start to life! He was crammed in a tiny box with the rest of his siblings to be sold in the meat market in South Korea! 11 of them were rescued with Parvo, and only 5 of them survived.

Mando's pawrents fell in love with him through pictures and videos and finally the day came, Freedom flight!! He went straight from the airport to his furever home! This sweet boy will know nothing but love for the rest of his days.

Tofu (fka Mickey) was tied up outside in South Korea for the first year and a half of his life. His owner was abusive and planning to sell him to the meat market (he already sold all of his sisters). As you can imagine this was pretty traumatizing for him and when he got to LA he was very fearful and shut down. He had never experienced normal things like a car passing, or a person jogging, and everything was so scary to him. Our rescue community raised thousands of dollars to get him into a board and train program, where he gained so much confidence and started to show his goofy personality! 

​

His new pawrents fell in love with his pictures and story and drove 5 hours to come meet him! Tofu will be loved for the rest of his days, and even has a new kitty sister. 

​

Nali (fka Joy) was rescued in South Korea the day before she gave birth to 5 puppies! Her puppies have all been adopted to loving familie months ago, but Nali had to stay behind to be treated for heart worms. She was supposed to fly to another rescue, but they forgot about her! We knew we had to go back for the little mama. Her new family fell in love with her based off of her pictures and waited over a month for her!

She finally landed and met her new pawrents, just in time to spend the howliday season together! Happy life for you, Nali, we love you!!

Winnie found her foster family when she was roaming their street as a stray over the summer! They nursed her back to health, gave her so much love, and committed to finding the best furever home for her. Thats where we came in! We fell in love with this girl as soon as we met her. And so did her new furever family! Her new mom took one look at that sweet face and knew Winnie was meant to be her baby. They even share a birthday! Winnie is a Vegas girl now, and we are so happy she is going to be loved unconditionally forever, the way she deserves.

Sweet little Dexter, or Dex for short, (fka Clark) was found on the streets of LA running in front of cars. A Good Samaritan knew they had to get him before he got hit. He ran up to them so happy and grateful that they saved him! No owners stepped up for him, and we think he was on the run for a while and wasn’t in a great home before. We are so grateful we got the opportunity to welcome this boy into Samson's squad and find his furever home with his dads in Lakewood, CA. He is the sweetest boy there ever was and will only know love from here on out! Look at this sweet boy’s adorable face (surrounded by his inflatable cone in this pic due to his neuter)! He deserves the best and we know he will get it. Congrats Dex and fam! We love you!

Bob (fka Pongo) did not have an easy start to life! He was left tied up outside with no food or water during a heatwave. When confronted, his owners said they hoped he would get lost :( Luckily a Good Samaritan rescued him and he became a part of Samson's squad! Bob's mom fell in love with him and brought him home with her to Las Vegas to live happily ever after! We all love this boy so much and know he will thrive in his new home.

Buffy (fka Juliet) was rescued with her babies and their dad from being sold into the meat market! They were all adopted before Buffy, since she had to stay behind to be treated for heartworm. Fast forward a few months, and Buffy has found her furever home! We are so excited for this flirty fluffball to live the life she deserves!

Eevee (fka Yellow) was rescued in South Korea and had to wait 2 years for her freedom flight! We are so happy that this sweet magical foxy lady has found her furever home in sunny LA where she lives with her pawesome pawrents and brother Stanley.

Wendy is a beautiful girl from South Korea who was adopted before she even boarded her freedom flight! Her pawrents planned a road trip to and from LA to come get her and they had such a blast! Wendy even saw the Grand Canyon! She is now settled in her home with her two kitty brothers and her loving pawrents.
