Cade aka Big Stinky
Domestic Adult SAMSONS LONGEST RESIDENT!!! Heddo! My name is Cade (I also respond to Big Stinky!), I’m a 5 year old, 90ish lb, American Bulldog, and I've been waiting FOUR YEARS to be adopted!!! I was rescued by Samson's Sanctuary after I was dumped out of a car in Azusa, CA in April 2022. I may be a big guy, but I have a big heart full of love to give. I love nothing more than to sprawl out on the couch, flip over and let my belly be exposed to the world. It's my favorite position to sleep in, and it shows how comfortable and relaxed I am in my home. Because of my past, I’m a bit cautious around new men. It's not that I don't like men, I just need time to warm up to them. I'm more comfortable at first if a female is around too. Once I trust you, though, I will love you fiercely and never forget you. I'm best bros with all of my foster dads friends! They take me on fun adventures! Oh boy, do I love adventures! I'm always up for a good hike in the great outdoors. I love to be in water! There's so much to explore and so many new smells to sniff. I love getting my nose into everything and finding out what's around the next corner. When I'm out hiking, I like to take my time and really soak it all in. I especially love to find the biggest stick I can, and parade it around like a trophy. I’m independent but I do love spending time together, I prefer my people to be home with me but I don’t need to be in the same room with you always. I will rest my big head on your lap occasionally and I will sit in your lap for butt scratches. I prefer to be pet on my back until I trust you and then you can touch my head. I get along great with other dogs my size and smaller as long as they are friendly, but I do like to chase cats, so we probably wouldn’t be the best roommates. My foster pawrents even had a baby and i listen so good and am gentle near the baby. One thing you should know about me is that I'm food motivated. If you've got a tasty treat for me, I'll do just about anything you ask and I will drool to prove it. And if someone comes to the door, I'll be sure to let you know. I'm a great guard dog and always on alert. I LOVE squeaky toys and tug of war. I’m also very fond of BONES and frozen tasty treats. I’ve been in foster care for almost FOUR YEARS! But, my foster mom and trainer work hard on teaching me new skills and giving me structure and boundaries. I walk with a loose leash, although i prefer off leash now that I have worked hard on my recall, I am e collar trained, muzzle trained, I know multiple commands, and will work for food. I don’t mean to brag but I am extremely smart and learn very quickly! I enjoy toys that provide mental stimulation and I'd love a yard of my own for my zoomies. But if you'll take me to the park, I love that too! I even have my own social media @CadeTheBulldog ! Check out all my awesome adventures! All I really want is a caring and patient pawrent or family who will love me for who I am and take me on all sorts of adventures, even better if you have previous American Bulldog experience. Can i be your snugglebuddy furever?

Burrito
International Adult Look no further - we've found the Best Burrito in LA! Our handsome and sweet boy Burrito was rescued (with his four babies - Ceviche, Salsa, Enchilada and Taquito) from horrible neglect and physical abuse. He spent the first 6 or 7 year of his life chained up outside of a factory in South Korea where he spent his days in fear of his abusers. But he is safe now and thriving! As soon as we rescued Burrito, we took him to the vet where he was treated for heartworm, and he's now a healthy and happy little hunk. He recently took his freedom flight from Korea to LA and is loving life in his first ever foster home. Despite his past, Burrito is a super low-maintenance and chill dude! He loves to relax in the house, hang on the porch and watch the world go by, and get all the treats and love. Whoever adopts this low-riding dude is going to be so lucky! Apply to adopt this papa pup today!

Sally
International Adult Meet sweet Sally! She is a 3-year-old Jindo mix, about 30 lbs, with a heart full of sunshine. She was rescued from the Icheon meat farm in South Korea, and despite everything she’s endured, Sally greets the world with a smile and a wagging tail. She’s a happy, gentle girl who chooses joy every day — a true testament to her resilience. Sally is ready to trade her past for a future filled with safety, love, and cozy naps. She’s looking for a home where she can finally just be a dog — cherished, secure, and adored for the sweet soul she is. If you’re searching for a loving companion with a beautiful spirit, Sally might be your perfect match 🤍 Sally is currently in foster and looking for a furever home. Apply today!

Ginger
International Adult Meet Ginger! Ginger comes from the same heartbreaking hoarding situation many other Samsons rescues came from involving 70+ dogs in South Korea. She's about 4 years old and 30 lbs. Her early life lacked stability, safety, and the chance to just be a dog and because of that, Ginger can be a little shy at first. Beneath that shyness is a gentle soul who is quietly waiting for someone to choose her. Ginger is searching for her freedom flight to the U.S., and she needs a committed foster or adopter in order to make that journey possible. She will need a patient, understanding home where she can slowly build confidence and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. With consistency, kindness, and love, Ginger has the potential to truly blossom. All she needs is someone willing to take that first step with her. If you can be Ginger’s safe landing, as a foster or adopter, you can help change her life forever. 🐾

Bellini
International Adult Bellini is one of the beloved Puptails and is looking for a patient, committed family who understands that trust and growth take dedication. 💛 Because Bellini is such a special girl, Samson’s Sanctuary is partnering with The Heroic Tail to help find her happy ending. Bellini was unfortunately returned due to previous owners who were unwilling to provide the balanced leadership, consistency, and structured training she needed both in and out of the home. While they did seek out training, they ultimately were not able to grow alongside Bellini in the ways she truly needed to build confidence and stability. Bellini being returned was absolutely NO FAULT of her own. She is a sweet, and just a lil’ shy girl who is incredibly capable of growth when given the proper support, patience, and understanding. Bellini is a 3 year old, 25lb Jindo mix and she is just so full of love. She is a Taurus Sun, Virgo Moon, meaning she is deeply loving, grounding, and the kind of soul that just wants to make the people around her feel safe and cared for. She is such a sweet soul who truly wants connection with her people and other dogs. She adores belly rubs, loves being around doggie friends, and honestly her favorite thing in the world is making new friends — she’s that one gorgeous girl at the party that actually gets to know you and somehow makes you feel like the star. Being surrounded by confident dogs helps her feel safe and comfortable, and we would love to see her in a calm, understanding home — hopefully with a sibling she can make wonderful memories with. This by no means means that she wouldn’t thrive in an only-dog or cat household either, it would just mean that continued socialization is especially important for her confidence and overall happiness… because who doesn’t want to see her truly in her element? Her dream day is hanging out with her best friends, running around in the grass, and feeling the wind brush through her fur. Bellini’s story began when her Mama Olive (fka Midori) and Papa Moonie were rescued from a horrible hoarding situation in South Korea involving over 70 dogs. After being born in a high-stress shelter with more than 200 dogs, Bellini and her siblings naturally inherited some of the fear and uncertainty that came from being raised in such an overwhelming environment. But Bellini’s story is also proof that healing is possible. Her mama, papa, and her four siblings have all continued to grow into much more confident dogs over time, and we know Bellini can too. Bellini was previously fostered through Samson’s Sanctuary, where she slowly started to open up and become much more curious about the world around her. After reuniting with her fellow Puptails, Bellini seemed to find comfort in knowing her family was safe too. She has been to multiple family reunions where she loves to run free with her PupFamily and be together again. She is also exceptionally smart. Bellini knows so many tricks, loves working on her skills, and thrives when she has structure, engagement, and active walks with her person. She genuinely enjoys learning and wants to succeed. And despite her shy side, Bellini is absolutely goofy. She can be a little awkward in the most lovable way and constantly does things that will make you laugh. She has the most bombastic side eye, is always aware of everything going on around her, and somehow always looks like she’s quietly judging the room in the funniest way possible. Sometimes Bellini needs a little space -- but honestly, don’t we all? New social situations can still feel overwhelming for her at times, but that does not mean she isn’t capable. Bellini needs a confident handler, someone who can help show her that the world is not as scary as it seems and encourage her to be the brave girl we know she is. She deserves someone willing to gently challenge her, support her growth, and truly want to be that person for her. Bellini is currently working with the incredible team at The Heroic Tail in a board-and-train program, where she is continuing to build confidence and thrive. Because consistency is essential for her success, adopters will be required to continue training sessions through The Heroic Tail after adoption. Bellini has now been in board and train with The Heroic Tail for over three months, and the transformation since being removed from her previous home has been truly night and day. She continues to grow more confident, curious, and engaged every single week, proving just how much environment, structure, and dedication matter for dogs like her. Bellini has been with Samson’s since she was just a little puppy, waiting for the truly right person to come along. She is now the last Puptail waiting for her forever home. Being one of the Puptails also means she has an entire family behind her for life -- her mama, dad, siblings, fosters, and rescue family are all championing her every step of the way and rooting for her happily ever after. Bellini doesn’t need perfection. She simply needs someone willing to believe in her as much as we do. 🐾

Jerry
International Adult I'm Jerry, a sweet Jindo mix who’s ready for a fresh start. I come from a heartbreaking hoarding situation with 75+ dogs in South Korea, but even after everything I’ve been through, I’m still a sweet and resilient boy. I’m about 40 lbs, which makes me the perfect medium size — sturdy enough for adventures, but still very cuddly. I can be a little sensitive at first, so I’m looking for a patient, calm home where I can keep building my confidence at my own pace. I would do best in a cat-free home. What I really need is someone who believes in me — someone who knows that love, safety, and consistency can change everything. With time and kindness, I promise I’ll grow into the most loyal companion. In order for me to take my freedom flight, I need a committed foster or adopter. If you’re ready to give me the safe, loving home I deserve, I’m ready to meet you 🤍 Apply today.

Sunny
International Adult Meet Sunny! This 1 year old, 15ish lb cutie was rescued from living in filth. She was chained up in a factory storage room in Korea where she had been extremely neglects. When she was found there were cigarette butts in her dirty water. But as her rescuers drover her away from her hell, she stuck her head out the car window, taking in the breeze, and then sun came out. Thats how she got her name, our sweet Sunny. So far we know that she is super playful, silly, and friendly. She loves all people and dogs! She will take her freedom flight to LA. in just a few weeks, but she still needs a furever home!! Apply to adopt Sunny today!!

Zoey
*COURTESY POST* Zoey was rescued by one of our trusted trainers and has been preparing to be your bestie!! From scared of humans to begging for snuggles — Zoey’s glow-up has been one for the books. This sweet shepherd has gone from keeping her distance to curling up for cuddles all on her own. Every week, she’s braver with new people and totally chill with dogs and cats. If you’ve got a little patience and a big heart, Zoey could be your next best friend. She walks great on leash in her comfort zones (and we’re slowly expanding those), is fully crate trained, and has zero reactivity or resource guarding. She just needs a calm, loving home to keep building her confidence. And the best part? Any family that adopts Zoey gets free lifetime training from me — so you’ll have support every step of the way. Shoot me a message if you’re ready to give this good girl her forever home. 🐾❤️ Please contact Carlo at carlo@thebeardeddogtrainer.com if you are interested.
