Our Dogs

Cade aka Big Stinky
Domestic Adult Heddo! My name is Cade (I also respond to Big Stinky!), I’m a 5 year old, 80ish lb, American Bulldog, and I've been waiting over THREE YEARS to be adopted!!! I was rescued by Samson's Sanctuary after I was dumped out of a car in Azusa, CA in April 2022. I may be a big guy, but I have a big heart full of love to give. I love nothing more than to sprawl out on the couch, flip over and let my belly be exposed to the world. It's my favorite position to sleep in, and it shows how comfortable and relaxed I am in my home. Because of my past, I’m a bit cautious around new men. I'm more comfortable at first if a female is around too. It's not that I don't like men, I just need time to warm up to them. Once I trust you, though, I will love you fiercely and never forget you. I'm best bros with all of my foster dads friends! They take me on fun adventures! Oh boy, do I love adventures! I'm always up for a good hike in the great outdoors. I love to be in water! There's so much to explore and so many new smells to sniff. I love getting my nose into everything and finding out what's around the next corner. When I'm out hiking, I like to take my time and really soak it all in. I especially love to find the biggest stick I can, and parade it around like a trophy. I’m independent but I do love spending time together, I prefer my people to be home with me but I don’t need to be in the same room with you always. I will rest my big head on your lap occasionally and I will sit in your lap for butt scratches. I prefer to be pet on my back until I trust you and then you can touch my head. I get along great with other dogs my size and smaller as long as they are friendly, but I do like to chase cats, so we probably wouldn’t be the best roommates. I’d be great in a home with older kids due to my size. One thing you should know about me is that I'm food motivated. If you've got a tasty treat for me, I'll do just about anything you ask and I will drool to prove it. And if someone comes to the door, I'll be sure to let you know. I'm a great guard dog and always on alert. I LOVE squeaky toys and tug of war. I’m also very fond of BONES and frozen tasty treats. I’ve been in foster care for THREE YEARS! But, my foster mom and trainer work hard on teaching me new skills and giving me structure and boundaries. I walk with a loose leash, although i prefer off leash now that I have worked hard on my recall, I am e collar trained, muzzle trained, I know multiple commands, and will work for food. I don’t mean to brag but I am extremely smart and learn very quickly! I enjoy toys that provide mental stimulation and I'd love a yard of my own for my zoomies. But if you'll take me to the park, I love that too! I even have my own social media @CadeTheBulldog ! Check out all my awesome adventures! All I really want is a caring and patient pawrent or family who will love me for who I am and take me on all sorts of adventures, even better if you have previous American Bulldog experience. Can i be your snugglebuddy furever?

Stardust
International Adult Meet Stardust, the sweetest, most gentle and calm little lady in LA! Stardust is a 2 year old jindo mix who came to LA all the way from South Korea. She’s about 35 pounds of pure sweetness - the perfect mid-size gal! She is a quiet and shy girl who is still learning about all the perks of being out of the shelter and in a loving home. She loves to lounge around with her human and is working hard on building confidence outside. Stardust has such a gentle and kind demeanor, we know that once she meets her new PAWrents she will open her heart to them and give them so much love. Stardust had a rough past - she was rescued as a puppy (with her brother Ziggy) from the illegal meat trades in South Korea. She then spent over a year in the Korean shelter, before taking her freedom flight to LA. Because she’s been through so much, Stardust is a very cautious and timid pup who would do best in a patient family who is committed to working through her fear so she can grow into the confident dog we know she can be! A doggy sibling would be a major bonus - Stardust adores other dogs and really opens up when she has a furry friend around. Stardust has the biggest heart and will make the PAWfect addition to her new family. Stardust is lucky enough to be fostered with one of our trusted trainers. Whoever adopts Stardust will get free training support fur life! Apply to adopt Stardust today!

Hope
International Adult Hi, I’m HOPE, and boy do I hope you’ll give me a chance. I’m a 2 year old, 60 lb male jindo mix! If you don’t know much about my breed, you should definitely look us up, we’re pretty awesome dogs, if I do say so myself. I’d love to tell you a bit more about my personality! I got my name because even though I come from neglect and hardship, I have a sunny disposition and know my family is out there, I just have to have hope. I am a very calm, gentle and loving boy. The volunteers at the shelter say I’m one of their favorites because I always greet them with soft kisses and a warm doggy smile. Some people even say I give off a soothing energy and might make for an awesome emotional support dog if given the proper training! I’ve never lived in a home before, but I think I’d be a bit of a couch potato, I love relaxing and observing. Although walks are my favorite! I love sniffing around and seeing the world. I do great with other dogs, too! I have been through a lot in my short life. I spent the first 1.5 years chained up in a filthy junk yard in South Korea. My “owner” finally surrendered me to Samson’s Sanctuary, and I was so excited to get the care I needed! I am now living at Samson’s shelter partner in Korea, waiting patiently for my hero. In order to take my freedom flight, I need a committed foster or adopter! Please help me get to LA, I promise I’ll repay you with all the love I’ve got (and it’s a lot!).

Burrito
International Adult Our handsome and sweet boy Burrito was rescued (with his four babies - Ceviche, Salsa, Enchilada and Taquito) from horrible neglect and physical abuse. He spent the first 6 or 7 year of his life chained up outside of a factory in South Korea where he spent his days in fear of his abusers. As soon as we rescued Burrito, we took him to the vet where he was diagnosed with heartworm. Luckily we were able to get him treated right away and he is now a healthy and happy little hunk. He recently took his freedom flight from Korea to LA and is loving life in his first ever home! Despite his traumatic past, Burrito is a sweet, calm and loving boy. He adores pets, walks and lots of treats! Plus he's good with other dogs! Apply to adopt this papa pup today!

Goose
International Adult Hi, I’m Goose and I’m hoping you’ll be my happy ending. I’m a 3-year-old, roughly 30 lb girl who came all the way from South Korea. My journey hasn’t been easy, but I’ve never stopped believing my person is out there somewhere. I’d love to tell you a little about who I am. 💕 Even though I came from a severe hoarding situation with 75+ dogs, I’m incredibly sweet. I’m gentle, kind, and happiest when I’m out in the world (esp with other dogs!). The humans who know me best say I have the softest eyes and the biggest heart. I am shy towards new people and it takes a second to warm up to me, but once I realize who you are -- I promise to love you with my whole heart! I will need a patient adopter who is willing to help me come out of my shell. I’ve already taken my freedom flight ✈️ and I’m ready to start the next chapter of my life in a real home. I’m still learning what it means to be a family dog, but I know I’d thrive with patience, kindness, and a cozy place to land. I would do best in a home with another dog. I want to make a wonderful companion for someone who is looking for a sweet, loyal, and gentle soul. I’ve been through more than any dog should, but I choose hope every day. All I need now is an adopter to show me what forever feels like. If you give me a chance, I promise to fill your life with love. Could you be my person? 💛

Ginger
International Adult Meet Ginger 🕊️ Ginger is Goose’s sister and comes from the same heartbreaking hoarding situation involving 75+ dogs in South Korea. She's about 4 years old and 30 lbs. Her early life lacked stability, safety, and the chance to just be a dog and because of that, Ginger can be a little shy at first. Beneath that shyness is a gentle soul who is quietly waiting for someone to choose her. Ginger is searching for her freedom flight to the U.S., and she needs a committed foster or adopter in order to make that journey possible. She will need a patient, understanding home where she can slowly build confidence and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. With consistency, kindness, and love, Ginger has the potential to truly blossom. All she needs is someone willing to take that first step with her. If you can be Ginger’s safe landing, as a foster or adopter, you can help change her life forever. 🐾

Jerry
International Adult I'm Jerry, a gentle Jindo mix who’s ready for a fresh start. I come from a heartbreaking hoarding situation with 75+ dogs in South Korea, but even after everything I’ve been through, I’m still a sweet and resilient boy. I’m about 40 lbs, which makes me the perfect medium size — sturdy enough for adventures, but still very cuddly. I can be a little sensitive at first, so I’m looking for a patient, calm home where I can keep building my confidence at my own pace. I would do best in a cat-free home. What I really need is someone who believes in me — someone who knows that love, safety, and consistency can change everything. With time and kindness, I promise I’ll grow into the most loyal companion. In order for me to take my freedom flight, I need a committed foster or adopter. If you’re ready to give me the safe, loving home I deserve, I’m ready to meet you 🤍 Apply today.

Sally
International Adult Meet sweet Sally! She is a 3-year-old Jindo mix, about 30 lbs, with a heart full of sunshine. She was rescued from the Icheon meat farm in South Korea, and despite everything she’s endured, Sally greets the world with a smile and a wagging tail. She’s a happy, gentle girl who chooses joy every day — a true testament to her resilience. Sally is ready to trade her past for a future filled with safety, love, and cozy naps. She’s looking for a home where she can finally just be a dog — cherished, secure, and adored for the sweet soul she is. If you’re searching for a loving companion with a beautiful spirit, Sally might be your perfect match 🤍 Sally needs a committed foster or adopter. Apply today!

Bambi
International Adult *ADOPTION PENDING* Bambi is a 30 lb Jindo mix rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding case involving 75+ dogs in South Korea. Despite her difficult past, Bambi is incredibly sweet and gentle, with a calm presence that makes her easy to love. She’s currently in a foster-to-adopt home, where she’s continuing to decompress and show more of her loving personality each day. Bambi does best with patience, kindness, and consistency — and she’s already proving just how special she is. Bambi is a quiet soul with a big heart, ready to continue her journey toward the forever home she deserves. 🐾
