JADE NEEDS HELP NOW!! Hey, my name is Jade! I was used as an outdoor guard dog for the first few years of my life until being dumped at a shelter by the only family I’ve ever known. I languished away at that shelter for a year before Rebirth Rescue was notified about me. They quickly came to my rescue and gave me the best care and training. I waited until the year after that for someone to notice me while I bounced around temporary fosters and training programs. Then, Rebirth Rescue had to close their doors due to financial hardship and now I’ve been with Samson’s Squad for almost TWO YEARS! Unfortunately I've been in boarding almost that whole time, since no one has stepped up to foster or adopt me. I am about 5 years old, spayed, and up to date on all my shots. I am even kennel trained and house broken! I love wearing my sweaters and jammies, and I sleep about 90% of the day! My favorite thing is to do is splat out on the floor and snooze on all the comfy things! For fun I enjoy the playing with the water hose or taking a dip in the pool. I am obsessed with peanut butter treats, but due to my allergies I'm a pescatarian. l love every person I meet and smother them with kisses, but I do need to be the only animal in the house due to my previous traumatic life. I am looking for a calm, confident, strong leader who will continue my training because I have almost 2 years under my belt, and I want to continue to grow. I love to learn! I am muzzle trained (and I look so cute!), e-collar conditioned and I loose leash walk like a champ. I know place, stay, wait, leave it and more! I look to my leader for continued instructions.   I am the bestest girl, and I am looking for my happy ending. Please say you’ll take me home to be your house hippo!

Meet Gus, a 3 year old 60 lb Lab mix who was rescued with his brother from a barn in Barstow on Christmas Eve '22. They were found along with several other dogs who had been abused and neglected. Gus particularly had deep cuts and scars all over his sweet face. And yet, these boys wanted so badly to trust those rescuing them. We originally wanted to keep the brothers together, but it was proving to be more detrimental than helpful for them. Gus' brother was quickly adopted, and when they separated that was tough on Gus. His foster didn't have the time and patience to help him through it with at home training. So he went to board and train to work on his fears and separation anxiety. Fast forward over a year and a half he finally found a committed foster home and hes doing wonderful! Gus has come such a long way in his journey. He's been working very hard with his trainer and has overcome his fear of the crate. He loves walks and hikes and is very food motivated. Peanut butter is this guys favorite treat.  He now warms up to people in under 5 minutes and is asking for belly rubs. He even enjoyed his very first grooming appointment! Gus needs a patient adopter who's willing to continue helping him gain his confidence, and continue his training. He would does well with other calm dogs. No huskys or large energetic dogs, and while he has worked hard on his impulse control on chasing small animals, no cats. Apply to adopt him today!

Heddo! My name is Cade, and I’m an American Bulldog. I am about four years old and 80 lbs. I was rescued by Samson's Sanctuary after I was dumped out of a car in Azusa, CA in April 2022. I may be a big guy, but I have a big heart full of love to give. I love nothing more than to sprawl out on the couch, flip over and let my belly be exposed to the world. It's my favorite position to sleep in, and it shows how comfortable and relaxed I am in my home. Because of my past, I’m a bit cautious around men. I'm more comfortable at first if a female is around too. It's not that I don't like men, I just need time to warm up to them. Once I trust you, though, I will love you fiercely and never forget you. I'm best bros with all of my foster dads friends! Oh boy, do I love adventures! I'm always up for a good hike in the great outdoors. I love to be in water! There's so much to explore and so many new smells to sniff. I love getting my nose into everything and finding out what's around the next corner. When I'm out hiking, I like to take my time and really soak it all in. I especially love to find the biggest stick I can, and parade it around like a trophy. I’m independent but I do love spending time together, I prefer my people to be home with me but I don’t need to be in the same room with you always. I will rest my big head on your lap occasionally and I will sit in your lap for butt scratches. I prefer to be pet on my back until I trust you and then you can touch my head. I get along great with other dogs my size and smaller as long as they are friendly, but I do like to chase cats, so we probably wouldn’t be the best roommates. I’d be great in a home with older kids due to my size. One thing you should know about me is that I'm food motivated. If you've got a tasty treat for me, I'll do just about anything you ask and I will drool to prove it. And if someone comes to the door, I'll be sure to let you know. I'm a great guard dog and always on alert. I LOVE squeaky toys and tug of war. I’m also very fond of BONES and frozen tasty treats. I’ve been in foster care for TWO YEARS! But, my foster mom and trainer work hard on teaching me new skills and giving me structure and boundaries. I walk with a loose leash, although i prefer off leash now that I have worked hard on my recall, I am e collar trained, muzzle trained, I know multiple commands, and will work for food. I don’t mean to brag but I am extremely smart and learn very quickly! I need mental stimulation and a good amount of space for my zoomies. I even have my own social media @CadeTheBulldog ! Cosmo is 9 month old puppy who was rescued from the euthanasia list as a tiny baby. This sweet boy was found with his siblings, missing their mom, and was brought to the shelter infested with ticks and worms. We assume he is a pit mix, he is currently around 40 lbs, and while we may not know exactly how big he will get we do know that he is so deserving of a loving home! Formerly known as Barton, Bear was a stray. After fending for himself and trying his best to survive, the worst happened. He was hit by a car and then dragged by it. Road rash immediately covered his body as the agonizing pain from his broken leg began to set in. He was brought into a shelter by a Good Samaritan after the driver of the car left him to die. At the shelter, Bear would not eat or accept any treats or love. Declining from the stressful shelter environment and in worse physical shape than they could handle, Bear was put at the top of the Red List. We knew he deserved a chance to live, so we tagged him and rushed right to his aid. Since being rescued, Bear has had and recovered from major surgery to repair his broken leg and has settled into his foster home and has been there for almost a year! He is the snuggliest, sweetest boy, always wanting to be touching someone or holding his favorite orange ball. He is equal parts silly and sweet! He has professional training and knows sit, down, place, and has come so far with his leash manners! Bear is dog friendly! Moonshine aka Moonie aka Hunky Chunky was part of a rescue mission for 75 dogs who were trapped in a flooded house in South Korea. For most of his life he lived on a chain, but now Moonie is being fostered in SD with his daughter! He is learning how to be a "normal" inside dog, and is doing great already! This hunk of love is a happy, silly guy who loves cheese and always has a wide smile on his face. Moonie is looking for his best friend and furever home who will give him love and patience. He has been living his entire life chained up in this disgusting junk yard in South Korea, just like Peach was. His owner finally surrendered him to us, so now we can get him out of there! However the shelters are full so we NEED a foster or adopter to get him out of there! He is 63 lbs, shy, and ready to discover the good life! Susie was a part of the same rescue as Midori, Moonshine, Looney, Lovey, and 70 other dogs in South Korea! They were all chained up, covered in filth, just trying not to drown in a flooding house. We are so grateful she (and all the others!) made it out alive- now shes ready for her real life to start!! Susie is a jindo retriever mix with the most gorgeous coat ever! *ADOPTION PENDING* Hi! I'm Latte, a 50 lb female who was rescued from living in a dirty alleyway. I am thriving now that I'm in a loving foster home with my new favorite humans. I am very sweet, calm and playful. Your heart will melt when I put my head on your knee for some affection. I love to snuggle, and my foster human says I am instantly beloved by anyone who meets meets me. Not to brag, but I'm VERY SMART. I've already learned some basic commands, am crate trained, and working with a trainer to be the best loose leash walker ever! I am dog selective, and since I like to be the boss a more submissive doggie mate would be my preference. I am so silly when I play with my furiends! *ADOPTION PENDING* Meet Murphy the Meatball! He is a senior Pittie who is approximately 8 years old, 85 lbs, and has been waiting to be adopted for over a year! His story is a sad one, but we are turning that around now! This poor guy was abandoned multiple times and left outside to fend for himself. First abandoned at a car wash and then taken in by someone else just to be chained up outside 24/7 in all kinds of weather.  His new "owner" decided he wanted nothing to do with him and considered euthanasia, but instead decided to put him to the streets. He was out in the pouring rain, and being harassed and beaten by homeless people on the street. Thankfully a good samaritan neighbor came to his aid, bringing him out of the rain and keeping him away from other outside dangers in her bathroom, the only available space she had away from her own animals. She reached out to get him help and that's where Samsons squad came in. Less than 24 hours later, he was safe with us. Even though he arrived covered in tar, cigarette burns, and scars he met us with a smile, a wiggle, and so many thank you kisses.  Since he went home with his foster mom, he just loves to lounge around on his comfy couch and gaze out the window at the birds. He is a very polite and even a house trained boy who would love to spend the rest of his days napping and going for walks, where he will undoubtedly make friends on any path he chooses. Despite his size he is even gentle with all people, even little kids! Murphy would do best in a home as an only pet. A home where he can just be loved on and lounge around with his human. Like to snuggle and sleep in? Murphy is your guy!
